I decided to step up my game into a quality drop shot/ned rig rod.  This rod is the right choice for both applications, sensitive for that light strike but with plenty of back bone to play and land those hard fighting smallies.  Sorry I didn't pull the trigger on  purchasing it long before.  If your looking for a quality sensitive finesse rod the Dobyns DX702sf is well worth the price
